Dana Incorporated (“Dana”) respects your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Notice describes the types of information we collect on this website (the “Site”), how we may use the information and with whom we may share it. This notice also describes the measures we take to safeguard your information and how users can contact us about our privacy practices. This Privacy Notice does not apply to the Careers pages of our website, which are subject to their own privacy notice.
I. Information We Obtain
Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve the Site, to administer your use of the Site, to enable you to enjoy and easily navigate the Site, and to respond to your inquiries submitted via the Site. To achieve these goals, we may collect information that can reasonably be used to directly or indirectly identify a person (hereinafter “Personal Information” or “PI”).
In the event that you do not wish us to collect additional Personal Information, we will only collect and process certain PI about Site access that is automatically collected when you connect to the Site, such as your IP-address and other related data (see below section II. a. for more details). We will further use cookies to automatically capture and store certain usage data (see below section III. for more details as well as our Cookie Notice).
However, if you would like to communicate with us, for example when you contact us with any questions or with a request for further information, we will collect the Personal Information that you provide to us, such as your contact information, e.g., name, telephone number, postal address and email address, or any content of your communication (see below sections II. b. and c.).
Whether or not to actively provide any Personal Information is completely your own choice. However, if you choose not to provide certain information, we may be unable to respond to your requests and by opting out of certain cookies or you may be unable to access or use certain functions on the Site.
II. How We Use The Information We Obtain
- Log Files
If you visit the Site certain PI will automatically be submitted to us from your browser and will be stored in server log files, including IP-addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data.
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and ensuring the efficiency and security of the Site; protecting against, identifying and preventing fraud and other unlawful activity; ensuring the Site reflects applicable local regulatory requirements; improving and maintaining the Site’s functionality; and establishing, exercising and defending our legal claims.

You can contact us via the contact details set out on the Site. In this case, we collect certain PI from you including your first name, last name, e-mail-address, company name, country, phone number and the content of your request, inquiry or other communication, and any other data disclosed to us in the course of your contact. Except as set out otherwise in this Privacy Notice, we will use the data solely for purposes of handling your request, inquiry, or communication, such as responding to your inquiry or providing you with the required information.
The processing of your data is based on the necessity of the processing for purposes of our legitimate interests in ensuring an efficient communication and processing of any requests or enquiries, in ensuring and documenting compliance with our legal obligations, and in establishing, exercising and defending our legal claims. - E-mail-newsletter/mailing list/alerts
The Site may include the opportunity to sign-up for an email newsletter, for e-mail alerts, or to be included on a mailing list. By signing-up for such services, you consent that we may process the data you provided in the context of your sign-up (e.g., name, surname, email address) for marketing purposes, in order to regularly inform you via email about products and services offered by Dana and/or a Dana group company. Your sign-up request will be recorded to prevent misuse and to document and provide proof of our sign-up process according to legal requirements. The recording takes place on the basis of our need to process the data for purposes of our legitimate interests in complying with legal requirements and ensuring a legally compliant and user-friendly sending of our email communications. You are free to provide your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking on the “unsubscribe”-link at the end of each of our newsletter emails or by contacting us at the contact details under section XII.
III. Cookies
The Site uses so-called "cookies" and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files that are stored in your end device via your browser. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device, but store certain information (e.g., page settings) that is sent back to us by your browser when you visit the Site again (depending on the storage period of the cookie).
The cookies we use are stored on your end device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or beyond the duration of your session (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit (i.e. when you end your session and close your browser). Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until the storage time of the cookies expires or you delete them yourself.

IV. Sharing of Information

We may also disclose PI to third parties with your consent to such disclosure.

You may also have additional rights depending on your jurisdiction. VI. How We Protect Personal Information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the Personal Information you provide against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use. However, please be aware that no method of transmitting and storing information over the internet is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any PI.
VII. Data Retention
Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, we will only retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
VIII. For Residents of the EEA, EU, and the UK
When you access the Site from a country within the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), or the United Kingdom (UK) the following applies in addition to the above:
- For How Long We Store Your Personal Data
Your data disclosed to us in the context of a contacting us (see section I. b. above) will be stored by us only for as long as necessary for the complete processing and handling of your request. We may further store your data to the extent necessary for managing the customer relationship with you as customer, supplier, or business partner.
We delete the data collected for the purpose of sending our email newsletter when you unsubscribe from the newsletter or withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter (see above section II. c.).
To the extent we use cookies to collect usage data that allows us to attribute the information to your person, we will only store such data for as long as necessary to provide the relevant functionalities and services or to achieve the purposes to be fulfilled with the relevant cookies. Your personal data will be deleted after the abovementioned storage periods, except where any further storage is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, in particular any applicable data retention obligations, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of our legal claims (e.g., the need to retain records in order to resolve disputes and investigate or defend against potential claims). - International Data Transfers
The recipients we share your data with (as described above in section IV) may be located in a country outside the EEU, EU, or the UK that is not regarded as providing the same level of protection for personal data as provided by European data protection laws, such as the USA. To the extent we share your data with recipients in such third countries we ensure that suitable guarantees in accordance with applicable European data protection laws, such as entering EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the respective recipients, have been put in place to provide for an adequate level of data protection. - to have your personal data erased to the extent permitted by applicable data protection law (right to erasure; "right to be forgotten");
- to restrict processing of your personal data to the extent permitted by law (right to restriction of processing); and
- to receive personal data which you have provided to Dana in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit such personal data to another controller without restriction by Dana and, where technically feasible, to have such data transmitted directly from Dana to another controller to the extent permitted by law (right to data portability).
Further, according to applicable statutory data protection laws, you have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data to the extent permitted by law. If your personal data were to be processed by us for direct marketing purposes, you can object to the processing for the purpose of such marketing in any case (right to object).
Where you have given your consent for the processing of your personal data you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before it has been withdrawn.
We do not carry out any decision making based solely on automated processing of personal data collected under this Privacy Notice, including profiling.
